Trips and Residentials

Due to COVID19 all trips and residential visits have been cancelled.

Trips
We believe that learning opportunities happen in a variety of ways and not always in a classroom environment. Throughout the year we run a wide range of trips to engage the curriculum and engage learners.  We aim to provide at least one educational visit per year for all classes.

This may be to a local farm, a Tudor house, a science museum or park. A voluntary donation to cover the cost of travel and entrance is requested. In addition, we visit Woodley Sports Centre for our Sports Day as well as visits to our local library, theatre and recreational spaces.

Residential Trips
Each year we run two residential trips to support the curriculum or to develop skills and broaden experiences.

In Year 4 the children have the opportunity to visit North Wales (Plas Nant Glyn) to take part in 3 night outdoor adventure which includes dam building, night walking, campfire building, talent show and much much more! Children come back exhausted, and inspired from the experience of Plas Nant Glyn, a place where deeper friendships are made and memories are collected.

In Year 6 a similar experience is provided for children, this time to a Kingswood Centre in Staffordshire where qualified instructors teach the children how to climb, abseil, cave, build fires and again much much more!  Each year during the Year 6 leaver assembly, Kingswood comes out as a highlight for the children and one of the most wonderful experiences.

We would love to hear from you
