Intensive intervention for named children delivered by skilled pastoral mentor with a focus on children who:

  • Have experienced bereavement
  • Have poor attendance
  • Struggle with relationships
  • Struggle to regulate their emotions

Improve phonics / reading across school

New reading books for KS1 and KS2

New phonic reading books for KS1 & EYFS

 

Implementation of Bredbury St Mark’s reading intervention.   4 TA’s and 2 SLT trained by Sue Riley (CDAT).  Each to work with one child 3 times a week for 6 week intervention blocks.  Staff to be backfilled by another TA.

 

Improve the reading scheme for use within school.

 

 

Children’s reading age will improve from the baseline taken.

Children’s writing will improve for the baseline taken.
