Year One 2026 - 2027

Welcome to Year 1!

We're Mrs Jordan and Miss Moore - your child's Year 1 teachers.

As you have probably noticed, we are a job share.  Mrs Jordan will be teaching the children from Monday - Wednesday and Miss Moore will be teaching them Thursday - Friday.

A little about Mrs Jordan

I'm Mrs Jordan, (previously Miss Hall) and many of you will know that I got married in the summer holidays.

I have been a teacher for 19 years.  I have been at Bredbury St Marks for 16 years, teaching in KS2 for the last two years, Year 1 for five years before that, then prior to that, EYFS for many years.

I've had the honour of teaching most of the children in our school at least once.

I am so excited to be back in Year 1, we are going to have such a great year with lots of fun.

I have two children, Ellie and Dylan who are 13 and 11.  Dylan has started Secondary school this year.  I also have 4 step children.

I am animal mad.  I have two dogs - Reggie and a new puppy - Waffle.  We also have a cat called Aurora, a millpede called Steve and two axolotls.

I love animals and have owned a wide range of pets over the years, so I love to hear stories about your pets too.

In my free time, I am a football mum and take Ellie and Dyan to football games across Manchester and Derbyshire.  I also like listening to music from cheesy pop to good old 80s anthems.

I am also a little bit crazy and love a good dress up day!

A little about Miss Moore

I'm Miss Moore and this will be my 17th year of teaching.  I've been teaching at Bredbury St Marks for 12 of those! 

Some of you may know that I spent the last few years teaching in KS2.  However, I spent the first 8 years of my career in both EYFS and KS1 - it is a pleaure to be back with the little ones!

I have a little girl called Elodie and I am expecting my second child in November.

In my free time, I love listening to music, visiting new places and eating Greek food.
