When you reach Year One, you may ask 'Where has my baby gone?'
They're waking from their slumbers, singing nursery rhymes and numbers.
School bags packed and off they go, into our classroom to learn and grow.
Do not worry, we will take it from here. There have been some changes 'Oh what a year?'
Welcoming you precious dot, is our lovely and calm Miss Stott.
A proud new mum to baby Finn, the kids can't wait to run on in.
So patient, caring, kind and fun, glittery pencils by the ton.
She dreams up treasures to create, 100 things with paper plates.
Making, sticking, cutting and drawing. Lessons with Miss Stott are never boring.
Then with Mrs Hall at the end of the week, they will be sure to have a ball.
No chance to be lazy, though she is a little crazy.
She is animal mad and house a zoo, that she loves to bring in to share with you!
Waiting at home is a daughter and son, ready to hear about todays fun!
Not the tidiest of people, she likes to leave a mess but, oh you have got see her in fancy dress.
Helping us each day is Mrs. Oldham our Teaching Assistant.
She loves her dog with all her heart and impresses us all with her amazing art.
I'm sure you will have heard her favourite phrase 'Oh my word!'
But the stars of the show are the little people you know.
They are cheeky, fun and charming, their characters disarming.
Year One are busy all day long, PE lessons and music, they love to sing a song.
At 3 o'clock, we send them on their way.
Their happy little voices sharing stories from their day.
How proud we all are, they've done their best,
BUT Year One teachers need a rest!
