Church Links
There are many links between St. Mark’s school and St. Mark’s Church. Every year the school dedicates a week (Church Week) to visiting the church. Every child goes across to participate in a variety of activities, using the church building and grounds as an extended learning environment.
The Lords Prayer
Here at St Marks we made a special video to remember the Lords Prayer. We used it during church week to remember what is important. Watch it below.
Andy Bull, the vicar, delivers a weekly assembly in school and the children attend church for important Christian festivals such as Harvest, Christmas and Easter. Parents are invited on some of these occasions. Further visits to church take place when the children are invited by Andy and his wife Ruth, for storytelling sessions, where the children learn Bible stories in a fun and interactive way. Andy is on the school governing body and is the link RE governor, liaising with members of staff.

Rock Solid – Monday Evenings
Rock Solid meets every Monday evening during term time, 6:30pm until 7:30pm in the church hall, and is for kids aged 7 upwards and costs £1 per session per child.
Les and Debbie Cope, together with a team of committed volunteers, lead these evenings. The main aim behind Rock Solid is to have lots of fun! Most evenings we play computer games, board games, table football, pool, table tennis, do craft, eat hot dogs and ice cream, and loads more! There is also a short talk about God each week. So if you’re aged 7 and upwards, come along and join in the fun!
