Year Six 2025 - 2026
Mrs Wagstaff
Teacher
Welcome to Year 6.
Hello, my name is Mrs Wagstaff, and I will be your child's class teacher this year. I was really pleased when Mrs Harding explained that I would be with Year 6. Many of them I remember well for our time together in Year 2 so it is lovely to be back together again and it is also proving great fun getting to know those who have joined the school since.
As last year, the children will rotate between classrooms and teachers in the morning for their core learning before being based back in their classroom for the afternoon lessons. Mrs Reeves will be teaching them Reading and Spelling/Handwriting/Grammar for half the morning and then Mr Jenner will teach Writing and Maths at the start of the week with Miss Moore teaching them at the end of the week.
Mr Clayton will be with the class on a Monday afternoon and this half-term the children are really fortunate to have Jack from Stockprot County coming in to work with htem on Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Mrs Nicklin will then be with the class on a Thursday afternoon for PPA. They will alternate between doing Forest School activities one week and sport the next.
MIss L is also with us for the mornings at the start of the week.
I realise it may seem like a lot of names to get used to at the start of the year but the children are doign really well settling into their new routine.
Any questions or concerns, please do speak with myself or another member of the class team. We would always much rather know so we can work together to help the children. Likewise, when they have done something you are really proud of please do share that with us to as it is lovely to celebrate their successes.
Thank you
Mrs Wagstaff, Miss L, Mr Clayton and Mrs Nicklin
