St Mark's C of E Primary School

A caring place to learn, play and grow

Concerts and Productions

“All the World is a Stage,” and at St Mark’s we try to provide as many opportunities as possible for performance. All children attend our Church to worship and present a service to parents at least twice a year – Harvest and Christmas.

Celebration assemblies are on Friday afternoons, this includes class and special news assemblies. Parents are often invited to attend.

Every year we celebrate Christmas with our Nativity play ably performed by Year 1 and Year 2 children. A Carol Concert takes place in St Mark’s church performed by Year 3, 4, 5 and 6. The Nursery and Reception children also take part in a performance of the nativity for their families too.

Year 6 celebrate their time at St Mark’s with an annual performance. In the past we have enjoyed Joseph, Bugsy Malone, The Rocky Monster Show, Gel and Pirates of the Curry Bean.

“St Mark’s Got Talent” has become an annual fixture, ably organised by SMFC (St Mark’s Fundraising Cooperative). We have discovered dancers, singers, comedians, drummers as well as baton twirlers. We wait to see who next will show us their hidden talent….
